About our client

Our client is a 29-year-old male living in Alton Hampshire with his parents. He is looking to expand his care team and introduce another member of staff.

Our client has Cerebral Palsy and is a permanent power wheelchair user. He has a great sense of humour and a wide range of interests including Football (season ticket holder at Arsenal), Music, Wrestling WWE, Video games (particularly Fifa and PGA Tour) and TV etc.

Requirements:

Our client is looking for the following attributes in his PAs;

• a warm and caring personality

• a good sense of humour (loves a bit of banter)

• someone who is energetic, motivated and proactive. A ‘get up and go’ attitude would be ideal

• able to work well in a team and be reliable. Someone he can count on

• someone who can encourage, empower and respect the client and his wishes

• calm under pressure and able to adapt to new situations

• strong communication, be able to speak and write in English and have patience

• a person-centred approach with excellent organisation skills

Specification:

The role we are looking for is Monday to Friday 10.00-14.00 (20 hours per week) with flexibility to pick up extra shifts with cover for other team members holiday and sickness.

You will need to have some care experience which could be in a professional capacity or personal caring for a loved one. You will receive mandatory care training online and attend specialist clinical training in moving and positioning, BLS, medication administration, PEG care and feeding, suctioning, nebulisers and non-invasive ventilation.

Work Location: In person

Harland Care Services LTD in NOT an agency and you will be employed for the client and all shifts offered are on a rota basis with a contract. This is not ad-hoc work.
